About me

Hi! My name is Sabreen!

I'm a student, artist, and storyteller who plans to study psychology and film in college, with a particular interest in neuroscience.

I've always been curious about people - how we think, what motivates us, and how our experiences shape who we are. That's one of the reasons I love storytelling. Whether through film, music, or theater, I enjoy exploring different perspectives and finding ways to connect with others.

Growing up naturally shy, the arts have become an outlet for me. Music, theater, and filmmaking give me a way to observe, listen, and express myself in ways that don't always come easily through words. Through the arts, I've found confidence, connection, and a deeper understanding of both myself and others.

My creative journey began when I was just four years old, playing piano and performing with the Happy Human Music Project. Later, I joined the Los Angeles Children's Chorus, and for the past 9 years, I’ve had the opportunity to perform around the world and work with incredible musicians and artists.

My love for filmmaking began during COVID. What started with making videos for my YouTube channel (SamirahsWorld), grew into producing and directing original films through school and programs like the UCLA Film Program. I love the process of taking an idea and bringing it to life on screen.

In tenth grade, I took my first psychology class, and it completely changed the way I thought about storytelling. Learning about human behavior and emotion has helped me create characters and develop narratives in a deeper way.

Outside of the arts, I'm involved in numerous leadership and community service activities, including being a Youth Ambassador for the City of Pasadena.

As I prepare for college, I'm excited to continue combining my interests in psychology and film. My goal is to better understand people, tell meaningful stories, and create work that helps others feel connected, understood, and inspired.
